Peter Jouvenal is the founder of Gandamack Lodge in Kabul. He established it in late 2001 shortly after the fall of the Taliban. Gandamack Lodge was the fictional address in Leicestershire of Harry Flashman, the rogue hero of George Macdonald Fraser’s books. In late 2005 Gandamack Lodge moved location in Kabul to an address near the UNHCR HQ and the DHL building.
